Partnerships with food banks, grocery stores, and food distributors stretch our donated dollars for maximum impact.
Child sponsorship is $60 per month or $500 for the school year.

Give $500 to provide a full school year of weekend food bags for a hungry child.
Of course, food is what we are all about! We accept food donations in any quantity. Contact us for delivery or pickup info.
Food items should be in single-serve packaging. Large boxes won't fit in backpacks! No glass containers, please.
Food should be healthy and nutritious. Would you be happy to serve this to your child?
Here are some examples of food items most useful to us:
Instant oatmeal, instant grits, breakfast bars, healthy cereals
Child friendly soups, canned pasta (like Chef Boyardee), Hormel Compleats, Prego Ready Meals, mac and cheese, beans and rice, tuna and crackers, Ramen noodle packets, spaghetti sauce and noodles (no glass jars)
Fruit cups, apple sauce, canned fruit, canned vegetables, single serving veggie cups
Crackers, small peanut butter jars, fruit snacks, peanut butter crackers, granola bars, trail mix, sunflower seeds
Milk or juice in single-serving boxes
It takes more than just food to run Bags of Hope. Additional needed items include:
- Backpacks: Kids are so proud of their shiny new backpacks. We're always looking for bags for newly added children.
- Large zip-close plastic bags, 2.5 gallon size: We try to re-use these, but they wear out quickly.
- Plastic grocery bags: We use these to transport food bags; it's a great chance to recycle!
